Tocumwal Antiques & Tea Rooms is a charming combo of a cafe and an antique shop tucked into a weatherboard cottage along Deniliquin Street. Before stepping into the tea room area, you naturally browse through a collection of vintage curios and nostalgic knick-knacks, which sets the tone for a relaxed, timeless vibe. It’s the kind of place where locals and visitors alike can pause from the usual pace and enjoy a quiet cuppa surrounded by collectables and gentle garden views.

The back area opens up into a cozy tea room that offers both indoor seating and a sheltered verandah, perfect for a sunny morning or lazy afternoon. The garden seating, complemented by garden-style furniture and delicate china, makes for a quaint setting that feels like a slow step back in time. People come here to savor good coffee or a pot of English Breakfast Tea served in antique-style teapots, making tea service more than just functional – it’s part of the atmosphere.

Menu choices lean toward comforting cafe classics, with highlights like tasty savoury snacks (focaccia and pancakes get positive mentions) and a small but inviting selection of cakes. The food and drinks are noted for being well-priced, which fits the welcoming, no-fuss character of the place.

This spot suits those looking for a quiet lunch break, a casual catch-up spot, or a peaceful place to sit with a book or work via Wi-Fi. Locals appreciate the friendly service and the way the atmosphere invites lingering — it’s not rushed, and there’s time to soak in the antiques and garden before or after a meal. Visits in the late morning through the afternoon seem ideal, especially when the verandah offers shade and a gentle breeze.

Overall, Tocumwal Antiques & Tea Rooms offers a blend of sociology and solitude: a place where community meanders in between browsing and sipping, perfect for those who enjoy pairing their food and drink with tangible pieces of local history and careworn charm.

After walking up and down the street this place appealed for lunch. Various antiques for sale in the front but a proper cafe at the back. Can sit inside or out on the verandah. Focaccia was tasty. Selection of cakes. Good coffee. Friendly service. Reasonable prices.

Lovely little cafe with indoor & outdoor seating in the garden. I had the pancakes and iced coffee and both were delicious and very well priced. Served on vintage plates as well!

Visiting Toc for work. I remembered I was impressed with this shop when I dined here a couple of years ago. Didn’t disappoint. Very nice savoury pancake, good coffee and friendly service. And an interesting place to explore. Recommended

Our first impressions were that it was a lovely antiques and gift shop but then realised it was also a tea house so decided to have a coffee and a pot of tea under their shady verandah in the beautiful cottage style garden, very lovely atmosphere, the teapot was of an antique style and we both loved out experience.

Their scones and pancakes are exceptional! Really cute pots they use for tea as well. Friendly staff - I felt like I was home

Really well laid out store. Lovely owner, knicknacks and antiques were well worth a look. Croissants and Devonshire teas were very nice.
